You are aware that movie with Nicholas Cage where he's a wealthy jerk who wakes up one morning married to his college girlfriend and living a middle class lifestyle? It would be great if we could all awaken tomorrow morning living a wealthy life? So, we are really not rich. Just what exactly? I am not saying we all can't fake it. There are ways to live a glamorous life without having to spend a fortune. http://www.glamorous-jassen.nl/ 1. Smoke & Mirrors: If you've ever visited a play, you realize the value of setting the scene. One small table covered in red and white check tablecloths, a wine and a few music, and suddenly you are in Italy. It does not take much to accomplish the same thing in the home. Spend a weekend trolling yard sales or thrift stores and $25 or less later you'll get back with a host of props to alter the entire look of your home, well at least one room. You simply need a few choice pieces to improve the whole feeling. The impact of the gallon of paint really should not be underestimated - a brand new coat of color on your own walls, in addition to a bold color tablecloth or curtain, oversized throw pillows, a dramatic throw rug along with a five dollar bit of artwork can make your family area brand new. 2. Small indulgences: The dollar store is a magical place. Think "spa" the next occasion you're there and bunch on nail polish, scented sachets, candles, bubble baths, soaps and lotions. Spend ten bucks and go out with ten new spa goodies. Go back home, seek out grandma's silver trays and bowls and use them. Display your finds in a unique containers you have throughout the house. Roll-up some face towels and fill a bowl with lemons you picked up 10 for any dollar at the farmers market. Top off a champagne glass with a few cooled herbal tea and check out your deluxe bathroom spa. Be sure to hang a handmade "do not disturb" sign on the doorknob. http://www.glamorous-jassen.nl/ 3. It is a mind game: You are what you believe. Go to the bank and sign up for a brand new, crisp 100 dollar bill. Warning: this concept is actually only for probably the most will powered people out there. Put that hundred in the bank and count on me, something amazing happens...suddenly you are feeling richer, you are feeling less depressed, and you feel empowered. You're not planning to spend that hundred. You're just planning to carry it around, understanding that if you wished to buy something, you could...since you have the cash. It changes the mind set in one of lack to one of abundance. Just knowing it's there changes things. Check it out, watch what goes on. Because you are not rich does not imply you are not living a wealthy life. In fact, I bet should you browse around, you will discover you've got everything you need at this time. What's the saying about wanting everything you have? Maybe we should all give a apply for awhile. Updated: February 21, 2012 12:28 PM PST
